Sponsored Qingxu County's municipal construction and named the longest road through Qingxu County, "Puxiang Road", as "Zilin Road"

February 2000

Mr. Luo Jianchun, the 24th generation of the Luo family and a descendant of Luo Guanzhong, founded Shanxi Qingxu Jinyuan Laocheng Vinegar Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Zilin Vinegar Industry. The original factory was located on the east section of Zilin Road in Qingxu County and covered nearly 40 mu of land.

Shanxi aged vinegar is the first of China's four famous vinegars. Its brewing techniques have been passed down for more than 600 years and have been listed as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage.

In October 2017, the Shanxi Provincial People's Government announced that the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture recognized Zilin's "Shanxi aged vinegar synchronous fermentation traditional brewing process" as a provincial intangible cultural heritage.

National Geographical Indication Protected Product

Zilin and Kouzhun Shanxi aged vinegar have obtained national geographical indication product protection.

In 2008, in accordance with the "Regulations on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products", the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved "Zilin and Kouzhun Shanxi aged vinegar" to obtain national geographical indication product protection.

In 2020, the European Union authorized and signed the first significant bilateral trade agreement between the European Union and China, namely the EU-China Geographical Indication Agreement. The first batch of 100 Chinese geographical indications are protected by the EU, including Shanxi aged vinegar.
