To strengthen industry-academia-research cooperation between enterprises and universities, and to provide students with a good practice platform, on January 18, 2016, nine doctoral and master's students from Shanxi Agricultural University spent their winter vacation at Zilin Vinegar Industry for a two-week internship. After discussion and arrangement, the internship work was divided into four parts: physicochemical index detection of the acetic acid fermentation process, physicochemical index detection of semi-finished products during solar energy aging, and analysis of microbial growth dynamics during acetic acid fermentation.

During the internship, the students were humble and hardworking, taking samples from the workshop at regular intervals every day and exchanging and learning technology with the workers. The company provided food and accommodation, and various departments actively cooperated. In a short period of time, they completed the analysis of microbial growth dynamics during the acetic acid fermentation stage, and the physicochemical index detection of the acetic acid fermentation process and semi-finished products during the aging period. Through this learning and exchange, students can combine their theoretical knowledge with practice and apply what they have learned; enterprises can also utilize advanced theories and technologies, quantify production processes, and ensure product quality.
